Judith Homoki wurde in der Hafenstadt Bremen geboren, schon mit 15 Jahren brach sie auf zu fernen Küsten und lebte als Austauschülerin in einem kleinen Ort an der Küste Ecuadors. Heute schreibt sie Reise- und Kinderbücher und arbeitet als freie Kreative und Texterin. Sie wohnt mit dem Illustrator Martin Haake und den zwei gemeinsamen Söhnen in Berlin. Martin Haake arbeitet seit vielen Jahren als freier Illustrator für internationale Verlage sowie in den Bereichen Editorial und Design. Zu seinen Kunden zählen die New York Times, das Wall Street Journal, National Geographic und Penguin Books. Seine Illustrationen sind vielfach preisgekrönt.
