Autorenportrait
Shigeo Katoh is Professor Emeritus at Kobe University, Japan, and former Head of the Bioengineering Laboratory. He has served as full professor at Hanyang University in Korea and visiting professor at Cheng Kung University in Taiwan, publishing extensively in biochemical engineering.
Fumitake Yoshida is Professor Emeritus of chemical engineering at Kyoto University. He was elected to the National Academy of Engineering of the United States in 1979 for leadership in chemical, biochemical, and biomedical engineering in Japan.
Jun-ichi Horiuchi is Professor of Biochemical Engineering at the Kyoto Institute of Technology, Japan. He received his doctoral degree in biotechnology from the Tokyo University of Science and previously worked as a research engineer at Toyo Engineering Corporation. His research focuses on bioprocess engineering, metabolic engineering, fermentation technology, and process systems engineering.
Yoichi Kumada is Professor of Biochemical Engineering at the Kyoto Institute of Technology, Japan. His research focuses on bioseparation engineering, affinity chromatography, and antibody engineering. He has contributed to the development of recombinant antibody technologies and affinity-based bioanalytical systems for biopharmaceutical and diagnostic applications.
