Silke Vry studierte Klassische Archäologie, Kunstgeschichte und Volkskunde und nahm an Ausgrabungen in Syrien, Jordanien und Deutschland teil. Seit vielen Jahren schreibt sie Bücher über Archäologie und Kunst für junge Erwachsene und Kinder. Die Autorin lebt in der Nähe von Hamburg. Claudia Lieb lebt und arbeitet in München. Für das erste von ihr gestaltete Buch im Gerstenberg Verlag, Die wunderbaren Reisen des Marco Polo, wurde die Designerin mehrfach ausgezeichnet.
