»The Employee Shareholder Under English Law«: Since 2013, employment law in the United Kingdom has recognised a new employment status: employee shareholder status - essentially an exchange of employment rights for company shares. This thesis examines the legal and practical challenges of this controversial framework and analyzes who ultimately benefits from it.

Wencke Salmen completed her law degree at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich in 2023. Following her graduation, she worked as a research assistant at the Chair of (International) Labour Law, Comparative Labour Law, and Civil Law under the direction of Professor Dr. Abbo Junker, and is currently completing her legal traineeship (Rechtsreferendariat) in Munich.
