»The Prepared Witness in Civil Proceedings. An analysis Under Consideration of the Approach in US and English law«: The analysis addresses the topic of witness preparation in German civil proceedings. Alongside a discussion of the - in particular psychological - effects on the witness and on the judicial assessment of evidence, the legal frameworks in Germany, the USA, and England are examined. Based on these insights, best practice recommendations are developed, and a regulatory proposal is offered.

Sophie-Christine Hebbinghaus studied law at the University of Bonn, as well as law and economics at the University of St. Gallen. In January 2024, Sophie-Christine Hebbinghaus obtained her doctorate from the University of Siegen. Since December 2020, she has been practicing as a dispute resolution lawyer in Cologne.
