»Property Damage - Criminalized Triviality or Underestimated Injustice?«: Property damage according to 303 ff. StGB as the potentially most intense material impairment is wrongly given a trivial image. Neither its historical development nor comparisons with other property offenses can explain where this image comes from. Therefore, this work concludes that property damage is not only justifiably punishable as is but also shows potential for reform. These various ideas for reform are first discussed and then respectively elaborated as codification proposals.

Annalena Gras first studied Business Law at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg and Technische Hochschule Nürnberg Georg Simon Ohm before she started her studies of Law at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität in Erlangen which she completed with the First State Examination in Law in 2022/II. Subsequently, she did her Doctorate at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität where she has also been working as a Research Assistant since 2021. She additionally worked as a Visiting Lecturer for International Business Law at Technische Hochschule in Nuremberg and as a Junior Counsel at PUMA. Since October 2023 she has been doing her Legal Traineeship at the Higher Regional Court of Nuremberg.
