»Contractual Means of Protection for Arbitration Proceedings«: How can arbitration proceedings be effectively protected against actions in breach hereof? This dissertation analyses prerequisites and enforceability at anti-suit injunctions and damage claims and explores contract drafting options safeguarding the arbitration agreement. It provides an overview of what happens if a party brings a claim in breach of the arbitration agreement before a German, Member State or 'third country' court.

Johann Jakob Stachow studied law at the Albert-Ludwigs-University Freiburg from 2011 to 2016. He then worked as a research assistant at the Chair for German, European and International Private and Procedural Law of Prof. Dr. Katharina Lugani at Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf. In fall 2019, he spent a three-month research stint at the Max-Planck-Institute for International, European and Regulatory Procedural Law in Luxembourg. He completed his legal traineeship from 2020 to 2022 in the district of the Düsseldorf Higher Regional Court. Today he works as a lawyer in Düsseldorf.
