Esteban M. López Casoli, an Argentine-Italian piano student and music researcher, was born in Mar del Plata, Argentina, in 1971. His passion for European Classical Music, Argentine Tango, and American Jazz was cultivated during his high school years, sparking a deep interest that led to extensive research, the findings of which are explored in this book. In 2014, he participated in a clarinet course with Horacio Fraga, a military band clarinetist and saxophonist. Harmonie Wind Bands and Baroque Music: At the Origins of Jazz marks his inaugural publication.
