This volume presents diverse yet complementary perspectives and insights on foreign language teaching, with particular emphasis on the Polish language. The contributors explore the conditions under which contemporary education takes place and discuss selected topics drawing on accumulated knowledge and empirical research. The volume addresses issues such as bilingual education models, the role of grammar in the process of acquiring Polish, colloquialisms as essential elements of everyday communication, the cultural encounter between China and Poland, and teacher well-being.

Dr. habil. Magdalena Rozenberg arbeitet am Institut für Germanistik der Universität Gdansk, Polen. Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen in der Gesundheit/Gesundheitsförderung in der Fremdsprachenlehrkräftebildung, Selbstmanagement im Fremdsprachenlehrberuf, Beziehungen zwischen Kunst und Fremdsprachendidaktik, Impression Management, Classroom Management, Forschendes Lernen und außerschulische Lernorte. Prof. Dr Beata Milewska is researcher and lecturer at the Institute of Polish Studies at the University of Gdansk, Poland. She specialises in the field of linguistics (Polish and Slavic studies). Monika Orent, MA in English Philology with a specialisation in Translation Studies, is an academic teacher at the University of Gdansk, Poland, and a PhD student in Literary Studies. Her main areas of interest are American literature and Translation Studies.
