Covers a wide range of photofunctional polymer composites in different forms, such as nanoparticles, fibers, films and hydrogels and their applications in the biological field.

Xiaoyu Wang received a PhD degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Science and Technology Beijing in 2014. After postdoctoral work at the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, she was appointed to a faculty position at University of Science and Technology Beijing in 2016, and is now an associate professor. Currently, her research focuses on the preparation and application of composite system based on fluorescent materials. She has authored more than 80 scientific publications.
Lidong Li, the professor of School of Materials Science and Engineering. He received a PhD in Physical Chemistry from Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces in Germany (with Prof. Helmuth Möhwald) in 2004. Then he worked at Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces as a project researcher. He was promoted as a Professor at Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China in 2005. He moved to University of Science and Technology Beijing in 2007. His research interests include photoelectronic device, polymer synthesis, self-assembly, nanostructured materials, organic solar cell, OLEDs.
