Der renommierte britische Kurator und Historiker für Kunst des 20. Jahrhunderts Michael Peppiatt pflegte dreißig Jahre lang eine enge Freundschaft mit Francis Bacon, den er 1963 als Student in Cambridge kennengelernt hatte.
