»The Principle of Mandatory Articles of Association in Stock Corporation Law. A Comparative Study of Germany and China«: This book examines the principle of mandatory articles of association in German and Chinese stock corporation law, with particular attention to the 2023 reform of the Chinese Company Law. It develops for the first time the concept of a »Chinese-style principle of mandatory articles of association« and demonstrates the existence of a Chinese form of this principle. The study further proposes reforms to relax this principle for non-public stock corporations.

Yuan Tian completed her undergraduate and master's studies in law at the China University of Political Science and Law in Beijing. In 2015, she passed the National Judicial Examination of the People's Republic of China. She subsequently earned an LL.M. degree from the Faculty of Law at Humboldt University of Berlin and completed her doctoral studies under the supervision of Professor Gregor Bachmann in the field of corporate law. Both her dissertation and doctoral defense were awarded the grade magna cum laude. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher at KoGuan Law School, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Her research focuses on civil law and corporate law.
