What does health mean for educational professionals? The qualitative interview study examines the subjective health theories of educational professionals from day care centres with children under three years of age. The author reconstructs the biographical, workplace-specific and lifeworld conditions that characterise the subjective health behaviour and understanding of the professionals. Her findings open up a view of the relationship between professional care and individual self-care strategies. The book thus provides a theoretical basis for developing preventative concepts for the training and further education of educational professionals.
