Weltentwürfe in Kurzprosa (Christoph Schaub)

Since the 1990s, authors have been writing works of short prose that portray the world in conection with neoliberal globalization and anthropogenic climate change. This study outlines a paradigm of reading to analyze the poetics, themes, and contexts of texts by Kluge, Kracht, Ransmayr, Schalansky, and Trojanow. It shows that, despite their differences, these works are all able to imagine a world without capitalism.
